7 Ways to Save Money on Bathroom Sets

There are some great bathroom sets around these days with many different combinations of accessories included. Don’t splash out on the first one you see (unless you truly love it) if you are on a limited budget because you can save money with a bit of careful shopping.

1. Pick Your Items

If you only want a few items choose a set where you can buy items individually. If you want many items you may be better buying a whole set even if you won’t use everything. Sell what you don’t want on eBay and get some money back or pass it onto Goodwill.

2. Buy Just a Few Items

If you find a bathroom set you love but you can’t afford the full thing just buy a few key essential items. You can then add to it as you can afford it. Later you may find that you are happy not to have bought everything and that it would be too much to have everything matching especially if you have a small bathroom.

3. Choose a Classic Look

Buy in a classic material such as clear glass and chrome, white china, wood or stainless steel so that you can adapt your look in the future without replacing your bathroom accessories. Also if you choose a simple material and shape you can choose a cheaper set and not worry about having all the items available you need. You will be able to buy items in a similar material without too many problems elsewhere.

4. Buy Online

Shop around online for some great deals. You get a much better choice and can often find beautiful bath accessories at very reasonable prices. Online stores are able to pass on the savings they make by not having to run a physical store to their customers so the prices are often lower than similar items you find locally.

5. Don’t Worry about Labels

If you fall in love with a designer label bath set that’s fine but if you’re still looking it’s you’ll do just as well if you go for good design rather than insisting on a designer brand. Sometimes the cheaper brands are just as good than the more expensive ones if you are looking at similar items and materials. Your bathroom set doesn’t need to have a label or be from the best store to look like a million dollars.

6. Look out for Sales

Though you won’t find such a great selection as you get online, department stores are great for picking up bathroom accessory sets, towels, shower curtains and bathroom window coverings at sale time (and these days sale time comes several times a year so there is always one store with a sale going on). You can often get items at half price or pick up you set using a “two for one” or “three for two” deal. If you shop in a big store you will often find ends of ranges that are greatly reduced too. Just make sure in that case that you can buy everything you need in one go. If shopping online look out for special deals too – you can often subscribe to an online newsletter to get informed of new stock and offers.

7. Buy to Last

Buy a shatter-resistant bathroom accessories set where possible especially when looking at kids’ bathroom sets because it is easy for things to slide out of your hands and break in a wet, steamy bathroom. You don’t want to have to start looking at bathroom sets all over again and spending more money because you or your kids dropped one of your items.
